Soybean futures surge on firm global cues

Marketmen attributed the up tick in futures prices to strengthening prices overseas.

Besides, a firm trend in edible oils segments too gave a push to prices, they added.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, soybean delivery for November moved up by Rs 31, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 3,351 per clocking an open interest of 18,030 lots.

Similarly, the delivery in October advanced by Rs 30, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 3,367 per with an open interest of 59,390 lots.
