Atul Agarwal from Kotputli city, near Jaipur has topped the All India ranking in The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) CA final exam with 618 marks.
Aagam Sandipbhai Dalal from Ahmedabad stood at
AIR 2 with 615 marks, while
Anurag Bagaria from Surat scored 597 marks to secure AIR 3.
During his three year training period after clearing
Integrated Professional Competency Course (IPCC) exam, he spent the last six months studying for 8-10 hours on his own.
“One should prepare for ICAI’s exams by referring to the institute’s study materials only. Referring to different books can confuse the students,” says Atul Agarwal.
He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from IGNOU and feels that institutions indulge students to such an extent that they do not realise their own calling. “Institutes are preparing students for rat races. Several hours are spent in coaching classes, which does not allow students to invest time in self-studies,” says Agarwal.
Agarwal says civil services offer the best platform to work for the welfare of the grassroot level people. “My future plan is to crack UPSC and to become an IAS officer. This will fulfil my dream of becoming an agent of social change,” says Atul.
Chartered Accountancy (CA) course comprises of 3 levels- entry level, which is called Common Proficiency Course, second is the Intermediate level and later the Final level.
