US ready to make ‘real deal’ on Iran nukes: US President Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump has said, Washington is ready to make, what he called, a real deal with Iran over its nuclear programme. Addressing the national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kansas City last night, Mr Trump said, Washington pulled out of the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers in May as it was a disaster.

He said, his administration stands ready for Iran to come back to the negotiating table, adding that the US is ready to make a deal, not like the one done by the previous Obama administration.

The US President’s comments came days after he sent out a tweet to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, saying that Tehran will face consequences if it threatened Washington. The tweet followed Mr Rouhani’s caution to Mr Trump about the devastation of a US-Iran wartime conflict.
