Chelmsford : India skipper Virat Kohli struck a half-century (68) on the first day of the three-day warm-up game against county side Essex at Chelmsford on Wednesday.
At stumps, India managed to score 322-6 in 84 overs with wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik batting on 82 along with
all-rounder Hardik Pandya on 33.
Earlier, after electing to bat, India found themselves in trouble at 5-2. But, Murali Vijay (53) had a 90-run fourth wicket stand with Kohli. Apart from Kohli, Vijay and Karthik, KL Rahul (58) also scored a half-century.
