The bandh called by Maratha Kranti Morcha in Mumbai has been called off. 

Earlier in the day, the protesters attacked buses and stopped local trains in Mumbai and its adjoining areas. 

The police in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad and Satara districts have been on high alert to prevent any untoward indents during the bandh. 

Nine public buses were attacked by agitators, a transport official said.
