Mumbai bandh live updates: Maratha Kranti Morcha calls off protest
MUMBAI: The Maratha Kranti Morcha has called off the protest in Mumbai after violence at several places. Earlier, the protesters attacked buses and stopped local trains in Mumbai and the adjoining Thane city on Wednesday during the bandh called by Maratha outfits over their demand for reservation.

*Scores of passengers were left stranded after the state transport utility suspended its services

*Schools and colleges remained shut in Aurangabad and Kolhapur as a precautionary measure on Tuesday on account of bandh called by Maratha leaders

*Agitators blocked some areas including the key Teen Hatha Naka junction, resulting in huge traffic jams on city's main entry and exit points.
