UGC asks universities to announce guidelines for re-evaluation of answer sheet

The UGC asked the universities to give suitable directions to all the colleges affiliated to them for compliance of the CIC orders.

NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked all universities to bring out clear guidelines detailing the procedure prescribed by the varsities for the re-evaluation of answer sheets.

"The Central Information Commission (CIC) has advised the HRD Ministry to instruct Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of all the universities to suo-motu bring out guidelines for re-evaluation of answer sheets detailing the procedure prescribed thereunder for the benefit of the larger students community impacted by such decisions and in larger public interest involved in the matter," the UGC said in a communication to universities.

The UGC asked the universities to give suitable directions to all the colleges affiliated to them for compliance of the CIC orders.

"Accordingly, you are requested to initiate appropriate necessary action in your university and also give suitable direction to all the colleges affiliated to your university and ensure compliance to the CIC orders," the UGC added.
