Mayawati sets tie-up terms: Decent number of seats

LUCKNOW: Breaking her silence over a possible alliance with Congress in three states going to polls this year, BSP chief Mayawati said her party would go alone in MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh if it was not given a "respectable" share of seats.

She said she was looking at how Congress was treating BSP's ally JD(S), in what could strengthen the hand of CM HD Kumaraswamy as he tussles with the Rahul Gandhi-led outfit over control of Karnataka coalition. "We will enter into an alliance with Congress in MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh only when we get a respectable number of seats," she said.
