Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched Honor Play in China last month. Almost a month after the Chinese launch, the smartphone will hit the Indian markets via Amazon on August 6. This has been revealed by a teaser on Amazon India’s website.

However, the smartphone does not mention anything about the price of the Honor Play. Though it is priced at CNY 1,999 for the 4GB RAM and CNY 2,399 for 6GB variant in China. This roughly translates to Rs 21,000 and Rs 24,000 respectively.

Honor Play: Key Specifications

On specifications front, Honor Play features a 6.3-inch screen display with 2340x1080p resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone is powered by octa core Kirin 970 AI processor and runs EMUI 8.1 topped Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.


The smartphone comes with ‘4D’ gaming experience with real-time recognition and GPU Turbo tech to boost performance.


As stated above, the smartphone comes in two RAM variants -- 4GB and 6GB paired with 64GB expandable storage upto 256GB using a micro-SD card. As far as the camera is concerned, the Honor Play features a dual rear camera setup. This includes 16MP and 2MP sensors with f/2.2 and f/2.4 aperture respectively.


On the front, the smartphone comes with 16MP selfie shooter having f/2.0 aperture. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.


The device is backed by a 3,750mAh battery and comes with fast charge support.
