FALL RIVER — Somerset police reported that a 62-year-old distraught city woman was doing OK at a friend's house Tuesday night after being reported missing and endangered the day before.

Suzanne Hoffman-Beaulieu of Fall River had been evicted from her home and had been reported as wanting to kill herself, Fall River police said on their Facebook page enlisting the public's help.

About 6 to 6:30 Tuesday night, a motorist called Somerset police as a result of seeing the woman's red Chevy Cobalt car with a listed Massachusetts license plate, Somerset Lt. Jay Borges said.

Patrolman Brian Dempsey responded to a home in the Brayton Point Road area and spoke at length with the woman and her friend, Borges said.

"She's fine. The lady seemed to be in good spirits," Borges said after receiving Dempsey's report.

He said there was no need for medical attention, noting the help from her friend.

Dempsey subsequently reported the positive outcome to Fall River Lt. Andrew Crook.
