Pakistan: At least 31 people killed in suicide bomb blast in Quetta
Source: TNNIn a tragic incident, at least 31 people have been killed in a suicide bomb blast in Pakistan's Quetta. Four other people died in poll-related violence in other places in Pakistan. The 9th general elections are going on in Pakistan today. More than 12000 candidates are vying for 272 seats in parliament. Heavy security is deployed across Pakistan and over 370000 troops have been deployed. Three major parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz are the main contestants in this election. Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan from PTI is one of the renowned names who is running for PM's post.
