NEW DELHI: Vice president
Venkaiah Naidu and a host of dignitaries, including MPs, were among those who attended the screening of a short film on PM
Narendra Modi's early life at the Balayogi auditorium in Parliament on Wednesday evening. The film was screened in
Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday for President
Ram Nath Kovind, during which some Union ministers and MPs were also present.
The 32-minute film "
Chalo Jeete Hain", (Come, let us live) would have its world premiere on July 29 on Star Network. Produced by
Bhushan Kumar of
T-Series, the film is based on the early life of PM Modi and shows how the young Narendra or Naru is inspired by Swami Vivekanand and the empathy he exhibits towards the poor while growing up in Vadnagar in Gujarat.
"We were excited to screen our special film "Chalo Jeete Hain" for Ram Nath Kovind ji at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The film has been made with a lot of heart and its message is bound to move you," Bhushan Kumar said in a statement.
The film shows 'Naru' going to his parents to ask what they live for, a question he is inspired to ask after reading a line from Vivekanada - a winner is one who lives for others.
The film has been directed by Marathi filmaker Magnesh Hadawale and has references to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev as those 'who lived for others'.
