Haryana seizes more than 18K banned medicines, 9 kg doda post in Sirsa

In yet another crackdown on drug peddlers, Haryana Police have seized more than 18,000 banned medicines and 9 kg doda post in Sirsa during operation ‘Prabal Prahar’ and arrested two persons who were in possession of the prohibited drugs in the district.

“A police team had nabbed a motorcyclist and recovered 18,750 tablets of Tramadol, a prohibited pharma drug during patrolling in village Mojgarh in the district. The arrested accused has been identified as Bhim Sen, a resident of Mojgarh,” said a spokesman of Police Department.

In another case, a team of Crime Investigation Agency, Dabwali has arrested a person carrying 9 kg doda post from the area of village Jotawali in the district. His accomplice managed to escape. The arrested accused has been identified as Hanuman Prasad, a resident of Dhaba in Rajasthan, the spokesman said.

He said that Police also enquiring about the name of suppliers from the accused and efforts were being made to nab them.  Cases under NDPS Act have been registered against them and further investigation was on, he added.
