Stir enters 26th day

The stir of the Pantnagar-based employees of Uttarakhand Seeds and Tarai Development Corporation entered its 26th day on Tuesday. Led by the union, the agitating workers staged a demonstration near the front gate of the district headquarters of the unit on the day.

 

The workers claim that their salary along with allowances is not being cleared for the past five months. They have been on the stir since June 29.  

 

According to Kishore Yadav, the leader of the agitating union, not even a single step has been taken to hear out their grievances. The management is sleeping over their demands and this is why they are on the stir path for days, he said.
