BSNL rolls out Rs 171 plan, offers 60GB data
NEW DELHI: State-owned telecom operator BSNL has introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs 171. With this new plan, the telecom operator plans to compete against Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone.


Under the newly launched Rs 171 plan, BSNL is offering unlimited voice calls, 2GB data per day along with 100 SMS per day. The plan comes with the validity of 30 days. This means that the users will get total data of 60GB.


With this new plan, the telco aims to compete against the Rs 149 plan from Reliance Jio. Under the Rs 149 plan, Reliance Jio offers 1.5GB data per day for the period of 28 days. Along with this, it also offers 100 SMS per day with unlimited calling benefit. Apart from the above mentioned benefits, Jio users will also get access to all the apps from Reliance Jio.


Recently, MTNL also introduced a plan with the same denomination of Rs 171 in which the service provider offers 100 SMS daily with unlimited calling and 1.5GB data per day. The plan comes with the validity of 28 days.


Recently, BSNL rolled out another plan of Rs 499 for its postpaid users. he new plan offers 45GB 3G data per month along with unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS per day. As per an online report with this plan the BSNL subscribers will get free unlimited voice calls is applicable for local, STD and roaming as well. However, the after the 45GB FUP, the mobile internet speed to drop to 40 kbps. This plan takes on the Rs 509 plan by Reliance Jio.
