NEW DELHI: Indian stock market climbed to all-time closing highs on Tuesday, boosted by conglomerate Larsen & Toubro on the back of strong quarterly results of its units L&T Infotech and L&T Technology Services on Monday, Reuters reported.

The benchmark BSE Sensex closed up 0.29 per cent at 36,825, a record close. It also hit a record intraday high of 36,902.06 in the session.

The broader NSE Nifty ended 0.45 per cent firmer at 11,134.3, its highest ever closing level.

“Market extended the rally on prospects of earnings growth and positive global market. In the last trading sessions, FII’s inflows improved marginally while oil prices dropped and respite was seen in mid & small cap after the recent underperformance,” said Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services.
