NEW DELHI: Four BJP MPs on Monday moved a notice for privilege motion against Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha, which Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she would examine.

Nishikant Dubey, Anurag Thakur, Dushyant Singh and Prahlad Joshi submitted the notice against Rahul and accused him of “misleading” Parliament by making “false” allegations against PM Narendra Modi and defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

After moving the motion, Dubey said, “Whenever Rahul Gandhi speaks, it only helps in increasing the votes of BJP.” Amid protests by Congress members, Mahajan said, “I will look into it and then let you know.”
