Old-new generation Sindhi community to converge on Aug 4-5

With changes coming in the  old and new generations of Sindhi community, the older generation, which has been into business and industries, has been affected by online marketing trends. The old generation now wants to consider the new challenges before them to counter and fight it over. The young generation would like to come out of their cocoon of ‘businessmen’ image and want to search for new avenues.

Taking into consideration both the challenges of old and new generation of members of Sindhi community, the ‘Sindhu Cultural Forum’ with assistance from National Sindhi Language Development Council, a convergence event is being organised. Sindhu Cultural Forum president Ramesh Warlyani  and programme convener Kanhaiyalal Chuggani said that on August 4 at Shankar Nagar passed Sindhu Palace, the chiefs of Sindhi Panchayat, social organisation heads, prominent persons and professionals would hold ‘Sindhi Samagam’ (Community Convergence) from 5.00 pm. The discussion would on topics of challenges before business-industries, Sindhi language and culture, its conservation along with education of young generation along with participation in administration. Bhagwan Dev Israni, former secretary, Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha,  I.R.S.R K. Khatwani, Sindhi literary figure Ishwar Jhamnani, D. R Wadhwani among others.

Similarly, on August 5, ‘One step towards administration’ would be organised for community youth from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, as a workshop.

The community members mainly holding the administrative IAS/IPS/IRS posts would be motivating the youth. They would guide them on how to prepare and fight the competitive examination and answer to the queries.

Council director Dr Ravi Prakash Tekchandani, Ratan Kumar Katwani, M L Kotwani, Sudesh Sundrani, Rahul Takwani, Sandeep Bhagya, Mrs Draupadi Jaswani, Geeta Wadhwani, Vipin Lalwani, Ranjana Ahuja among others would be provided guidance. Last year selected IAS officers Sandeep Bhagya and Jagdish Chelani would share their experience. Students from all the districts of state will participate in the event. The different frontal organisations have commenced groundwork to make the event a success.
