Suna Besha of Attali Jagannath held

The unique Attali Jagannath, whose wooden figure does not change at regular intervals unlike the Nabakalebar for the deities in Puri, was worshipped in Suna Besha at Rathagada here on Monday evening.

Thousands of devotees thronged the shrine to have darshan of the Lord on the chariot. The lone Lord on the chariot was decorated with gold ornaments weighing 661.750 grams.

Another chariot back to the Attali Jagannath is also stood having the Chaturdhamurty of the Jagannath Ballav Mutt here and the deities on this chariot were decorated with gold ornaments weighing 531. 525 grams.

Sub-Collector-cum Endowment Officer Amiya Kumar Sahoo and Endowment Supervisor Karunakar Behera supervised the rituals.

A grand Bhajan programme was also held in front of the chariots.
