Guar seed futures drop on weak physical cues

Marketmen said, besides ample ready stocks, sluggish demand for gum makers in the spot markets mainly pulled down the seed futures prices in a row for the second straight session.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guar seed delivery for the November plunged by Rs 75, or 1.74 per cent, to Rs 4,227.50 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 4,130 lots.

Likewise, the delivery of the most traded October sank by Rs 60.50, or 1.42 per cent, to Rs 4,199.50 per quintal, showing an open interest of 1,07,580 lots.
