Police investigating man's death in Northam overnight
Police are investigating the death of a man in Northam overnight after he was found at a property with serious injuries.
Homicide squad detectives are heading to the town to help investigate.
Police were initially called to a home in Queen Street about 2am.
Upon arrival officers found the man with serious injuries inside the house.
St John Ambulance arrived and they took the injured man to Northam Hospital.
"The man, who is believed to be in his 50’s, has since passed away and Northam detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death," a police spokesman said.
Forensic officers from Perth are also heading to the scene.
