Wasn’t Hina the Komolika of Bigg Boss 11, asks Shilpa Shinde

Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan have been at loggerheads since they participated in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 11. After hearing reports of Hina Khan has been approached to play the iconic role of Komolika in the reboot of the hit 90s soap, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Shilpa asked, “Wasn’t she the Komolika of Bigg Boss 11 already?” The TV actor was speaking to TOI.

She further added, “Well, she is a good actress and playing a negative role shouldn’t be difficult for her. So yes, she will essay the role well. Comedy was difficult for her but otherwise she is good.”

The reboot will star Erica Fernandez as Prerna, however, the other cast members are yet to be confirmed. A teaser was also released by Ekta Kapoor who is super excited to relaunch one of her hit dramas.

Speaking about the antagonist, producer Ekta Kapoor had earlier tweeted, “So much speculation on who is Komolika ! Just that she will b totally diff than d earlier one ! Smarter less OTT as fierce just less obvious ! So d actor will have to look v innocent ! Child like face n unbelievably sharp hoping to give this antagonist a complete reboot!”

Speaking about being approached to play Komolika, Hina earlier said to HT, “I won’t say it’s not happening, but I suggest let’s wait for the official announcement. Yes, I did go to meet Ekta and somehow people started to speculate, and it came to a point where they even confirmed that I’ve been roped in for the show, whereas I’m yet to sign anything. I mean you don’t know what talks we exchanged in a room and how it works, so let the makers make the final announcement.”

The two contestants fought on the show so much that the two did not even share screen space in shows where contestants had been invited later. Hina called Shilpa a ‘chawl girl’ and Shilpa reverted by calling Hina the ‘mohalle ki aunty’.
