BJP workers spy for ISI and involve in mass lynching, tweets Digvijaya

BHOPAL: MP Cabinet minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya has strongly objected to Congress leader Digvijaya Singh's remarks linking BJP with Pakistan-based intelligence agency ISI. “It was again an attack on Hindutva, in an effort to pacify minorities and polarise communities ahead of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh,” he added.

Pawaiya was replying to former senior Congress leader’s remarks “Those associated with BJP indulge in spying while some others were defamed and ‘lynched’, remarked Singh. He had, a day before, tweeted after an incident of mass lynching of a man from other minority community.

"Will NSA chief Ajit Doval inform the public about the progress made so far in this episode (Pak spy ring) or is it a secret? BJP workers are spying for ISI and blame Muslims, involve in their mass lynching. Have some shame. Is this the BJP’s patriotism and they call me a traitor”, tweeted Singh on Monday.

Digvijaya's statement referred the incident when the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad had arrested 11 persons, including Dhruv Saxena, on the charges of running an espionage ring for the ISI. Dhruv was claimed to be associated with the BJP. Singh tweeted reports related to the arrest and asked the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan whether they are patriots or traitor.

Singh’s remarks were in view of the recent statement by chief minister Chouhan who during his Maihar tour had dubbed Digvijaya a traitor for allegedly speaking in the favour of terrorists and also visiting their home if they are killed by police.

Taking a jibe at the remark that BJP leaders `spoon' for the ISI, Pawaiya said that the Congress leader was trying to help Pakistan.

“I pray to god to give wisdom to Digvijaya Singh. He is only trying to help Pakistan through such vague statements and also attacking `Hindutva'. Congress will have to face the consequences of these remarks as in the past Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia had also supported anti-national slogans raised in JNU", said Pawaiya.
