The Congress’ women wing on Monday took to the streets in Panchkula to protest against the Haryana Government’s failure to ensure women safety and demand justice in the wake of Morni gang rape case.

The women party workers led by All India Congress Committee Mahila president Sushmita Dev held protest in Panchkula and raised slogans against the BJP led Haryana Government.

The party delegation also submitted a memorandum to Haryana Governor demanding removal of in-charge of women police station in Panchkula for her negligence. Sushmita Dev while talking to the mediapersons here said that the party demands removal of in-charge of women police station in Panchkula and financial assistance for the victim for her rehabilitation.
