‘Declare Laikera, Kirimira as scheduled blocks’

Due to delay in declaring both Laikera and Kirimira as scheduled blocks in Jharsugada district, the Adivasi Sangh has decided to move to New Delhi to press for fullfiment of their demand, informed Sangh president Bunde Dhurba at a meeting held here on Sunday.

Dhurba said during the New Delhi visit representatives would meet the President, the Prime Minister, the Union Tribal Affairs Minister and the ST Commission and would draw their attention for fulfilment of their demands.

Among others, Sangh secretary Prabhakar Oram, Gondwana Gond Mahasabha president Mahendra Naik, VP Dubraj Munda, advisor Ratnakar Pradhan, Lalit Oram, Maniram Karia, Padamlochan Budula, Panchanan Toppo, Basant Oram, Nand lal Munda and Surendra Oram were present.
