Sensex hits fresh lifetime peak, Nifty above 11,100; ACC jumps 12%

Benchmark indices opened on a higher note on Tuesday ahead of expiry of July series futures and options contracts on Thursday. The BSE Sensex hit its record high in early trade while the NSE barometer Nifty50 was trading above 11,100 level, still way from its all-time high of 11,171.55 level. Global cues were muted but rollovers ahead of the July series expiry lifted shares.
