Nickel futures rise 0.26% on spot demand

prices edged up by 0.26 per cent to Rs 920.80 per kg in futures trading today as participants raised their bets amid pick up in demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets.

July edged higher by Rs 2.40, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 920.80 per kg in business turnover of 1,366 lots.

Likewise, the for delivery in August hardened by Rs 1.60, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 924.90 per kg in 51 lots.

Analysts said expansion of positions by traders following pick up in demand from alloy-makers in the spot markets supported the upmove in prices at futures trade.
