Bandh in Maharashtra
The Maratha Kranti Morcha has called for a statewide bandh in Maharashtra, asking for Maratha reservation. All roads and highways in Aurangabad district and other parts of the Marathwada region have been blockaded by Morcha activists.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has called for a state-wide bandh in protest against the denial of the Special Category Status (SCS). The Jana Sena (JSP), the Congress and the Left parties are staying away from the agitation because the bandh was called by the YSRCP, which they have been accusing of being submissive to the BJP-led NDA government allegedly to protect Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s personal interests.
