Kolar farmers demand compensation

The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha has demanded compensation of ₹1 lakh per acre to farmers in Kolar district who lost their crops due to release of water from the KC Valley in Bengaluru.

Water gushed into the fields due to lack of rajakaluves and caused heavy damage to crops, KRRS State vice president K. Narayana Gowda alleged during a protest at Narasapur on Monday.
