Dacoits broke into the house of a prominent businessman here and looted valuables, police said today.
Around half-a-dozen dacoits entered businessman Vinod Mittal's house located in front of District Magistrate's bungalow here last night.
Mittal and his his son Anurag Mittal were not in house at that time as they had gone to Gurugram for medical treatment, town Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raj Kumar Shah said.
The dacoits tied the hands and legs of both the private security guards before decamping with the valuables from the house, he said.
There were no one in the house apart from the two security guards at the time of dacoity, the DSP said.
The details of looted articles and their value would be known only after the house owner's give a statement, Shah said.
