Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath created a record of sortduring his visit to Hathras  on Monday, by becoming the first UttarPradesh CM to have visited all 75 districts in his 16-month regime.

On Sunday, Yogi visited Etah and laid foundation stones for development and welfare schemes worth Rs 253 crore while on Monday, he visited Hathras to lay the foundation of 34 projects worth Rs 155 crore.

When Yogi took charge as Chief Minister on March 19, 2017, he declared that his priority would be to speed up development and review implementation of schemes.

In the last 16 months.Yogi launched several schemes in almost all districts and conferred with district officials.

As per records, duringthis time, Yogi visited few districts like Gorakhpur and Varanasi three or more times. “But the CM made it a point that he visited at least one new district every month. This is the reason the CM could cover all district headquarters in a short span of 16 months – a feat no CM could do in five-year tenures,” a government official said.

BJP spokesman Manish Shukla said that covering the entire state in a short span shows the Chief Minister’s dedication towards work. “That’s why, on few occasions, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the dedication and commitment of Yogi,”Shukla said.

“The CM is working hard to ensure smiles on the faces of every person irrespective of caste and creed as the BJP is working on the principle of ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ in letter and in spirit,” he said.

Addressing a meeting at Bagla College grounds in Hathras. Yogi launched a blistering attack on parties which have been ruling UP for the last decade-and-a-half saying that they engaged in propagating caste and dynasty politics and nepotism. He cautioned the people of Hathras against supporting these family and caste-based parties in future elections.

The CM claimed that the ‘gundaraj’ established during the SP rule had been totally demolished in the state. Pitching in for development, Yogi said that there was no alternative for it.

“In the last 16 months, we have worked in a transparent manner without any bias,” he said.

The CM declared that under ODOP, local products of Hathras like Heeng (Asafetida) would be showcased. On August 10, the product would be branded as ‘Harthas product’ in a function to be held in Lucknow.

Earlier on Monday morning, Yogi visited Model Primary SchoolatEtah and distributed school bags among students. He also planted saplings at the school compound and thanked the school administration for providing land for setting up a medical college.

Yogi also claimed that crop loan of 53,088 farmers from Etah worth Rs 349.88 crore was waived. Under Swachch Bharat Mission, 1,11,644 toilets were constructed in urban areas and 3,336 in rural areas. Similarly Etah’s share for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was 5464 in rural areas and 748 in urban areas.
