For years, well-known ‘Super 30’ mathematician Anand Kumar has made headlines as the mentor whose students from poor backgrounds almost always make it to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to gain popularity. However, former students of Super-30 have alleged charges of deceit on the mentor. Recently, Kumar claimed that 26 out of his 30 students qualified IIT JEE Advanced examination and sought admissions into the premier IITs. However, his students have countered his statement saying that only 3 and not 26 out of his group of 30 students have been selected into IITs.
As per mentioned in the leading daily, students also claim that Anand was also teaching for another institute and he had asked many students to join Ramanuj classes instead of Super 30. And if reports to be believed, then Anand Kumar has minted amount close to Rs 1 crore from Ramanuj classes. Meanwhile, the professor hasn’t issued any statement of the issue so far.
Patna’s Super 30 was established in 2002 and did not gain popularity until 2008 when all 30 students made it to the renowned IITs in the country, registering a 100% success rate that year. As per an India Today report. After IIT JEE Advanced Result 2018 was announced, Anand Kumar took to his Twitter handle while Hrithik Roshan, the main lead in the upcoming movie titled ‘Super 30’.
