316 posts sanctioned for new districts

HYDERABAD: The finance department on Monday accorded permission for the creation of 316 posts in the recently-created district collectorates, revenue divisions and mandals. The new posts include deputy collectors, tahsildars, senior assistants and junior assistants.

The number of posts sanctioned are: Deputy collector (2), tahsildar (26), senior assistant/girdawar (152), junior assistant (23), record assistant (2), driver (2), office subordinate (56), watchman (10), deputy inspector of survey (2), deputy statistical officer (2) and chairman (7) — a total of 284 posts.  Accordingly, the cadre strength of the respective districts will go up, according to the orders issued by the principal secretary (finance) N Siva Sankar.

As many as 32 more posts will be created in the office of the chief commissioner of land administration — project director, computerisation of mandal revenue offices (1), deputy commissioner (1), additional assistant secretary (1), additional assistant commissioner (2), superintendent, grade-1 (6), superintendent and others.
