Teen charged over fatal Sunshine Coast crash
A 17-year-old Woombye boy has been issued with a Notice to Appear following a fatal traffic crash at Dulong on the Sunshine Coast hinterland in March.
At around 11.30pm on March 27 a car driving north on Dulong Road crashed into a tree.
A 17-year-old female passenger and the alleged 17-year-old male driver were both freed from the wreckage and taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The girl, later identified as popular soccer player Jade Dixson, died on the way to hospital.
The driver was taken into intensive care following the crash in a critical condition.

After investigations, the Forensic Crash Unit charged a 17-year-old boy with driving without due care and attention.
He will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
