Perth teen charged after alleged assault during girls junior footy match
A 13-year-old girl has been charged with grievous bodily harm after an alleged assault at a junior football match in Perth’s north last month.
Joondalup detectives laid the charges after investigating the incident, alleged to have taken place during a girls junior football games in Heathridge on June 8.
Police allege the 13-year-old assaulted a 15-year-old girl in the opposing team during the game.
The 15-year-old was referred to the Perth Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment for face and spinal injuries as a result of the incident.
The 13-year-old Hocking girl is scheduled to appear in the Joondalup Children’s Court on August 7.
