Haryana sets up SPV under companies act

Chandigarh: Haryana Government has notified to establish Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in the name of Haryana International Horticultural Marketing Corporation Limited under Companies Act, 2013. A notification to this effect has been issued by Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Dr Abhilaksh Likhi.

Certificates distributed at Sant Nirankari

Chandigarh:  Qualified students were distributed certificates on Monday at Tailoring and Embroidery centre being run ‘free of cost’ at Satsang Bhawan in Chandigarh by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. The Centre is functioning under the Supervision of Chandigarh sanyojak Navneet Pathak. After the completion of course, the trainees have to undergo an examination conducted by the Social Welfare Department of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Delhi, and certificates are issued to the qualified candidates.

Power min reviews HPSEB’s ongoing works

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Power Minister Anil Sharma on Monday stressed upon timely completion of all ongoing works under Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited. HPSEB’s main priority is to provide sufficient and quality power to the people of the State, said Sharma, while heading the review meeting of all HPSEB’s ongoing works. He reviewed the transmission and distribution losses achievements, progress on installing of roof top solar plants in the state, consumers’ complaints and other important issues under HPSEB. HPSEB;s managing director JP Kalta welcomed the Minister and detailed the ongoing works under HPSEB.

HP CM stresses for preserving rich culture

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday said the state government was committed to develop unexplored and virgin areas of the state from tourism point of view. The basic infrastructure facilities would be provided at Janjehli, Shikari Mata temple and Gadagusain for attracting tourists to these areas. Addressing people on the occasion of Maa Baglamukhi Mela at Bharari in Seraj Assembly constituency of Mandi, he said that  fairs and festivals were integrated part of our rich cultural heritage which should  be preserved at any cost. These fairs and festivals not only provide wholesome entertainment to the locals but also help in promoting our culture and traditions.
