The Telangana State Haj Committee (TSHC) on Tuesday advised khadim-ul-hujjaj (haj helpers) to discharge their duties diligently and help Haj pilgrims.
This year, the TSHC has selected 21 such persons who will travel with pilgrims. Khadim-ul-hujjaj are government servants and liaise between pilgrims, Telangana State Haj Committee and the Indian Haj Mission in Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the khadim-ul-hujjaj, THSC chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan instructed that they work with dedication and serve the Haj pilgrims from the beginning of journey till their return to Hyderabad.
He said that the khadim-ul-hujjaj are an important link between the pilgrims, the government,and TSHC. He urged them to assist pilgrims in their time of need, particularly in the unfortunate event of the death of a pilgrim, loss of baggage and money.
