The Indian cricket team have few days to go before their first Test match against England in Birmingham, but it seems like the cricketers are in no mood to take a rest. In a video published by the Team India official handle on Instagram, Umesh Yadav and Karun Nair were filmed taking a run at Colchester.

Virat Kohli & Co had a small break after the T20 and ODI series against England, but it is business as usual for them once again as they will face Essex in a four-day practice match on Tuesday. This will be their first practice game in England with a number of new faces joining the side after the limited overs series.

Fitness has been a major criterion for selection in the Indian team off late and as the video shows, the cricketers are not taking any chance. Earlier in the day, Umesh Yadav posted a video of himself working out in the gym with teammate Shikhar Dhawan with the caption – “Because day offs are meant for sweating it out in the gym with the one and only ‘Jatt Ji’ @shikhardofficial”

The Indian cricket team had a mixed run of form in the limited-overs games in England. They won the T20 series comprehensively, but were defeated in the ODI series thanks to brilliant performances by Joe Root. In the Test series, India will be missing big names like Wriddhiman Saha and Bhuvneshwar Kumar due to injury but it will certainly be a good platform for youngsters like Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah to shine.
