Peak hrs technical snag disrupts Metro services

Snag at the Delhi Metro has become a daily issue. Once again it made the commuter to wait during peak hours in Blue Line due to technical glitches near the Rajouri Garden Station.

The glitch in the blue line or line number  3/4   that connects Dwarka Sector-21 and Noida City Centre via Vaishali, took place at around 9 am. According to officials, the train services were disrupted for nearly 15 minutes from 9 am to 9.15 am.

“Train services were briefly affected from 9-9.15 am on Line-3, near the Rajouri Garden station, due to some signaling issue. To attend to it, access to track was given during this period. As a result, trains approaching the Rajouri Garden station were put on hold and train movement was regulated on the rest of the section of Line-3/4,” a senior Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said.

Line 4 is a branch line of the Blue Line, between the Yamuna Bank and Vaishali stations. However the services were soon restored within 15 minutes.

It is also not the first time that a snag has occurred in the Blue Line. Earlier, this year thousands of passengers faced a harrowing time in the Blue corridor as the movement of  trains was hit for nearly 1.30 hours due to a technical snag in the overhead electrification between the Karol Bagh and RK Ashram stations.
