Two-year-old dies in motorbike crash in northern NSW
A two-year-old girl has died in a motorbike crash in northern NSW.
Emergency services were called to a property on Haywood Road in Delungra, near Inverell, about 9.25am to reports a toddler had been flung from a motorbike.
The young girl had suffered critical injuries, and a NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics arrived to find her bleeding badly.
Two ambulance crews and a helicopter were sent to the scene, the spokesman said, but despite the efforts of paramedics the girl died at the scene.
The circumstances that lead to the crash are unclear, but a police spokeswoman confirmed the crash occurred on private property.
The spokeswoman said officers from the New England Police District were investigating the incident, and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
