APSRTC Chairman Varla Ramaiah on Monday, said the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which had been detrimental to the state's development, had no moral right to organise a State-wide bandh on July 24.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Ramaiah alleged that YSRCP MPs had resigned from their posts to avoid speaking against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the no-confidence motion debate at the Lok Sabha.
‘False commitment’
“YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy knows what would happen if he speaks against Mr. Modi (that is, he would face jail). That’s the reason he asked party MPs to resign, falsely showing they were committed to people of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
As regards, Jana Sena Party, whose President Pawan Kalyan's was a film actor, Mr. Ramaiah said not all actors could become Chief Ministers and take over reins of the State.
Tirupati Legislator M. Suguna and TUDA Chairman G. Narasimha Yadav took part.
