School girl's 'Swachhata' essay earns PM plaudits

A one-page essay by a girl, probably still in junior school, has earned a word of praise from Prime Minister Modi.

Anantha Subramanyam's daughter wrote the essay for her school magazine. In simple words, she describes how a boy, perturbed at the sight of filth in his neighbourhood, takes an initiative to clean the mess along with his friends.




The essay titled 'Thought of Raju' earned her a 'Good' remark from her teacher. Anantha uploaded the essay on Twitter, tagging the Prime Minister.


It did not take long for PM Modi to acknowledge and tweet back. Congratulating the youngster, he appreciated the high levels of awareness about among the country's younger citizens.
