15 kids hurt, 4 critical as mini bus goes off bridge

A vehicle carrying students of Kendriya Vidyalaya located in NTPC Township here fell off a 30-feet high bridge near Sichai Colony on Saturday.

According to initial reports reaching here, 15 students were inside the vehicle when it went off the bridge. Of the 15, four students were critically injured, police said.

The vehicle, a mini-bus, was found overturned with a portion of its roof under muddy water in the field, police said. Later, a crane was called to lift the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, police said.

The injured students have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested for negligence.
