Here's how Assam Zoo is protecting animals from scorching heat

Assam is reeling under hot and humid conditions for the past few days. While most parts of India is facing flood-like situation, Assam is facing tough weather conditions with scorching heat and rising mercury. The zoo administration has made special arrangements to protect its animals from the hot weather conditions. Showers and sprinklers have been set up by the authorities for the animals to beat the heat. Water levels in the pond inside zoo have been increased and a special diet is provided to the animals to keep them cool.
