Two minor boys drowned while they were taking bath in a pond in Bihar's Nalanda district today, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Ankush (7) and Aditya (8), both cousins and residents of Vasvaniya village of the district, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nishit Priya said.
The incident occurred when the two boys had gone to take bath in a pond located at Vasvaniya village under the jurisdiction of Harnaut block and slipped into deep waters and drowned, the SDPO said.
The boys' relatives found their clothes near the pond after which local divers were pressed into service.
The bodies have been sent to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, the SDPO added.
