Several MBA seat aspirants are an anxious lot as they have alleged that there are errors in the provisional answer keys of the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
The candidates are now planning to approach the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to seek an explanation.
PGCET is the qualifying exam conducted by the KEA to obtain government and government quota MBA seats.
“We wrote the examination on July 15 and KEA released the provisional answer keys on Friday, and they were full of mistakes. Later on Saturday, they announced another version of the provisional answer keys. While the answer key for two sections have been rectified, the other two sections still have mistakes,” a candidate who took the test said.
The students allege that there were seven or eight mistakes in the English and logical aptitude section.
Another candidate said that they were irked that the provisional answer keys were not rectified even though the last date to submit the objections ended at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday.
They are demanding that the provisional answer keys with the mistakes be rectified and students allowed to file their objections again.
“It is the question of our entire future and the authorities cannot be so careless about this,” he added.
K. Vinoth Priya, executive director of KEA, said that there were errors in the provisional answer keys initially as the file was corrupt as a result of which many of the answers were jumbled.
“Students do not have to panic as we will call the expert committee and check the answers before evaluating the question papers,” she said.
