Manali: Mountaineers find mortal remains of IAF personnel died in 1968 crash

The remainings of an Indian Air Force aircraft AN-12 was found in the Lahaul-Spiti valley. Along with the aircraft remainings, the mortal remains of IAF personnel was also found at the crash site. The aircraft AN-12 was crashed in 1968 in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti valley. A mountaineering team which was on an expedition to clean-up Chandrabhaga found the remainings. The mountaineers said that the remains were found at the Dhaka glacier base camp that is 6,200 metres above sea level.
