Man dies after shooting in Sydney's south-west

A man has died in hospital following a shooting at Warwick Farm in Sydney's south-west.

Police arrived at a unit block on the corner of George and Lachlan streets about 5.20pm on Sunday following reports that a man had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance under a police escort to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.

A second man was taken into custody for questioning but his involvement is unclear.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing, a NSW Police spokesperson said.
