FALL RIVER — For the second time in 10 years, Fall River Community Media has won the Overall Excellence Award from the Alliance for Community Media, a national organization that represents over 3,000 U.S. public, educational and governmental access organizations and community media centers.

ACM presents the award each year to one organization in four divisions, with winners chosen based on the quality of their programming and other activities. FRCMedia also won ACM's Overall Excellence Award in the Northeast in 2016.

FRCMedia was established in 2000 as a partnership between the city of Fall River and Bristol Community College. It distributes news and information and manages FRCTV Channel 95, which broadcasts content including 20 locally produced programs.
