Former AIADMK legislator Om Sakthi Sekar has condemned Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy’s sudden visit to New Delhi after rescheduling the Assembly session.
Although originally the budget session of the Assembly which began on July 2 was decided to go on till July 27 there was a sudden rescheduling fixing July 19 as the concluding day of the session.
‘Political game’
Mr. Sekar alleged that the government indulged in this political game apprehending that the Supreme Court verdict in the nominated MLAs case would not be favourable to them.
This was highly condemnable and amounted to “murder of democracy”, he added.
